Biography
Katherine F. Weaver is an associate in the Jacksonville office of Lesak, Hamilton, Calhoun & Pontieri. Her practice focuses on general business litigation, where she represents businesses, and other clients in complex litigation matters. Katherine works closely with clients through all stages of litigation, assisting with case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Katherine earned her Bachelor of Arts from Temple University in 2020, where she double majored in Political Science and Global Studies. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 2023.
While in law school, Katherine gained valuable practical experience through internships with the Florida Department of Corrections and the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit. As a Certified Legal Intern (CLI) with the State Attorney's Office, she maintained her own caseload, gaining firsthand courtroom experience early in her legal career. She sat both first and second chair for ten jury trials and a bench trial during that time.
Katherine also demonstrated strong academic and leadership involvement in law school. She served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy and Administrative Editor of the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law, contributing to the development and publication of legal scholarship in international and environmental law. She served as a class representative for FSU Law's Student Bar Association all three years of law school, and also served as a Law Student Representative for the Tallahassee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, helping foster engagement between law students and the local legal community.
Katherine joined Lesak, Hamilton, Calhoun & Pontieri as an associate in 2026 and focuses her practice on defending clients in complex litigation matters
